Multiple comment spam submissions per day

I am getting 2-3 spam submissions to my comment forms a day using this plugin. My settings are using “v2 I’m not a robot” and I have the “comment form” ticked in the “Enabled Forms”.
I’m seeing the recaptcha box on my website. Are spammers able to beat V2? Or is it more likely I have a configuration issue?
