• This integration works great, however there are 2 problems

    1. If you’re canadian, it only asks for Zip Code when entering the credit card payment screen, sometimes postal codes work sometimes it doesn’t. Could lead to abandoned carts.

    2. It is not secure, it doesn’t take advantage of credit card tokinization, therefore customers can easily dispute purchases and merchants would lose the dispute cases when first data claims that Visa 3d secure was not utilized.

Therefore as of today we are switching off of it and moving over to FirstData which is a direct plugin that wordpress recommends

Thank you for your valuable feedback, and I genuinely appreciate the clarification you provided. I’d like to address your concerns as follows:

    1. Address Input for Canadian Customers: To enhance the input of address information for our Canadian customers, we recommend enabling the full address requirement from your Clover account’s fraud tools section. By making the address a mandatory field, you can ensure a smoother checkout experience and reduce the risk of abandoned carts for Canadian users.
    2. Security and Tokenization: I’m pleased to confirm that we already implement card tokenization, which serves as a robust security measure to protect both our customers and merchants. Please ensure that you’re using the inline form to maximize this security feature. However, it’s important to note that, at present, Clover does not support 3D Secure (3DS).

If you have any further questions or concerns, or if there’s anything else we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to reach out. Your feedback plays a crucial role in helping us enhance our services.

We’ve recently released an update aimed at minimizing disputes and reducing fees associated with declined orders generated by bots. In this update, we’ve integrated Google’s reCAPTCHA to enhance the overall security of our platform.

By implementing these advanced bot detection measures, we aim to create a more secure environment for transactions, ensuring that legitimate orders are processed smoothly while mitigating the risk of unauthorized or automated activities. This update not only contributes to a more seamless experience for you and your customers but also helps in minimizing associated costs.

We appreciate your feedback, and we’re committed to continually improving our services to meet your needs. If you have any further suggestions or concerns, please feel free to share them with us.
