Too difficult to configure with recaptcha

    The only instructions to activate the Simple Recaptcha for Contact Form 7 read:
    Configure plugin from Settings => CF7 Simple Recaptcha.
    This makes no sense whatsoever, as the settings for the Contact Form 7 are nothing but the page where your forms are listed. There is nothing on that page to configure. I am intermediate coding experienced and the word “Simple” belongs nowhere with this plugin. Though I am grateful it is “Free,” the time spent trying to figure out plugins with inadequate instructions cost me more in time and aggravation than could possible be considered non-gratis.

  • You have posted this review in the Contact Form 7 plugin, however it sounds like you are referring to the Simple reCAPTCHA plugin.

    I agree. I jumped ship on this plugin after trying to “like it” several times.

    If it helps. I may not be understanding what you need to achieve as I don’t use Simple Recaptcha, but I think it means the Settings section (separate section) in your WP Dashboard not in the Contact Form section. Guessing the “CF7 Simple Recaptcha” will be listed there so you can properly adjust. Then I believe once that is setup you can use the “Generate Tag” settings for Captcha in the Contact Form to add Recaptcha tag to the form itself. Best of luck!
