    The option is only to hide the buttons in the PDF.js viewer.

    Once a PDF is online, it’s public, there is no way to stop people from downloading your file.

    This is just how WWW works.

    Do the option “remove download button” and “remove print button” stop people from downloading and printing the PDF file?

    No.

    The options only hide the download button and the print button in the PDF.js viewer toolbar. It does NOT stop people from downloading or printing the PDF file.

    Once a PDF file is online, it’s public, there is no way to prevent the file from being downloaded or printed.

    If a PDF file is displayed online, then there is not a way to completely stop it from being downloaded. You may be able to use a DRM (Digital Rights Management) to prevent it from being shared, but it’s not something that can be done with a WordPress plugin.
