Too easy to delete a post accidentally

    I think this is new to the 2.5 pre-releases, but in the Manage section of WordPress admin, it looks as though it would be pretty easy to do an accidental check all then delete. There doesn’t seem to be a warning box like the one that pops up if you try to delete a post on the edit page.

    I know you’d have to be pretty stupid to do this, but I’m betting with Murphy’s law on this one. Someone will do it and then be complaining that their posts are deleted.

    At least one confirmation of delete box should be enough to avoid most accidental deletions I think.

    Totally agree! It used to have that confirmation box if I remember correctly, but now it’s gone. It’s a very VERY bad idea that there’s no more warnings when ‘delete’ button is pressed!

    We’re going to add a popup to confirm deletion when doing a mass delete. Hopefully that should address this issue.

    this also happens with the comment section. using the shortcut it is pretty easy for me to click d instead of a or s.

    i can retrieve a comment from spam. but i think i cannot retrieve a comment once it is deleted!

    a popup with keyboard shortcuts would make process pretty cumbersome.

    I just accidentally deleted 14 posts from my WP2.7 blog using “bulk actions” in the dashboard. There was no confirmation popup. Has this safety feature disappeared again?

    Hm. Seems like that might be a good optional setting!
