• I don’t have an issue with the quality of the product so much as the shear number of products to purchase to get a working system.

    Hi @ahancock,

Thanks for the review, though I’m sorry to hear you feel a working system isn’t possible with The Events Calendar alone.

For most people who want a feature rich calendar for their WordPress site, The Events Calendar provides everything they need: multiple views, embedded maps, featured events functionality and more.

Of course we realize some users want more – hence our range of add-ons – but I’d contend they aren’t vital to have a “working system”. May I ask which add-ons/features turned out to be vital in your case?

I am sure the Events Calendar system family of products is a complete system. It’s hard to know which of the many add-ons are going to be needed before diving in.. I appreciate that you have a good return policy, but it’s hard to get a refund on the time spent discovering what’s needed.

    I appreciate the response ??

The Events Calendar itself though is free and while there’s certainly a very real cost in time to exploring this or any other piece of software, I’m really not sure how we might mitigate that.

It does at least mean you can assess our core functionality without having to pay anything and that’s generally a great way to start: from there, if you want guidance before investing in our premium offerings, you can certainly reach out to us via our pre-sales forum before making a further investment.

In giving us a 3-star review it feels like there must be specifics that to your mind were essential for a calendar tool but which weren’t included out of the box. Any chance you could give us an idea of what those are?

We love getting feedback like this, but without specifics it’s hard for us to improve.

I’ve opened a ticket in your paid user forum with more details, thanks.
