We have an issue since 8.5.0 whereby opening single orders results in over 6.5k db queries vs 200 queries rendering the process unusable in production due to page load speeds. We have had to rollback to 8.4.0 where the db queries are around 200 and the page load is normal.

Using default Storefront theme, all other plugins are disabled, enabling HPOS doesn’t resolve the issue

    Thanks in advance

Update – I think it might be related to order analytics being cached for each order and shown in the single order view?

We have the same issue. We checked the server and everything to get to know the reason for this massive slowing down and can’t find anything. And we found the same finally yesterday that the reason for this is WooCommerce itself. Please update this issue ASAP. We are going directly into technical issues because just of load time.

Tested now on staging site with 8.4. Opening a product for update in backend with 8.5.2 around 18 seconds, with 8.4 back again at 2 seconds. Images just loaded immediately know. No wait anymore necessary. We are prepairing going back to 8.4 now for all our shops – on weekend. Maybe a hotfix is possible about this.

    Hi @gerbull001 and @fox-didl,

Have you had a chance to disable the Order Attribution feature? You can find it under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features. After disabling it, check if it resolves the issue.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hey @shameemreza, surely this can’t be only attributable to the Order Attribution feature? Our backoffice as also become extremely slow.

    Hi @shameemreza,

    Thanks for your reply.

Your suggestion of disabling Order Attribution feature does restore normal loading time for the single order detail, however we would like to use this feature without the load time issue.

    Appreciate your support.
