Too many features I don’t need

  • As the name suggests, I like Custom Admin Interface to focus more in admin area. Instead the plugin attempts to do customize too many other things. Sure I can just leave the settings I don’t want alone. But I also want a lean and simple plugin that focuses on its primary purpose.

    Update: per author’s response, I’m adding one more for star. My stance is still that the plugin is too bloated with too many features making it complicated to use than necessary when you need a few main features. It could be better use for those who want one stop shop solutions. I prefer to keep my site lean and install only what’s needed for better performance and security.

    Thanks for your feedback. But with that said, the plugin says what it does and doesn’t do on the plugin/sales page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-custom-admin-interface/

    So you could have known what it does and doesn’t do in advance of downloading and installing the plugin. We never said it’s a lean and simple plugin which does just 1 or 2 things. There are other plugins which do that, but our plugin aims to make things easier by combining them into one. Now that’s of course not to everyones taste and that’s fine. To be honest, I would have preferred if you just didn’t leave the review because it’s not helpful to others because they can read the description to understand this. I don’t make money from the plugin, it’s a free tool. Thanks,

    Thank for the response.

    I updated my review and added one more star. The main point my review is based on is that the plugin is bloated with too many things it attempts to do making it more complicated to use than necessary and lacks focus. Also, I’d give a more general name “WP Custom Admin” and drop the word ‘Interface’ which can be misleading because this is not really the main thing for the plug in.
