    Hey Daan,

It looks like OMFG is not saving fonts locally. There’s way too many googleapi, gstatic requests. In fact fonts requests make about 60% of overall requests.

    Please check this screenshot https://imgur.com/a/JG4YVPJ

Anything can be done about it?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    No advice on this one?

You may still have a reference to Google Fonts in your page code – if you share your site URL, we can help you find out.

If you do, edit your theme or check the feature that removes these references in the plugin’s advanced settings.

    Hi Gal,

For certain reasons I can only share it privately. Can we do that?

I did share my url with Daan on the other question though, as he asked but he never answered.

    I didn’t answer yet.

With the whole corona thing going on, my schedule is thrown around every day. I’ll get to it, @maxgorky. Be patient ??

Thanks Daan, sorry for rushing, wasn’t even sure you even received it.
Anyways, regarding the other question about fonts that disappeared, they went back in a day. Weird, but I it’s solved.

So, as soon as you have some time, I’d appreciate your advice on this current question. You have my url now:)

    Thank you!

Ok, there seems to be a problem with Remove Google Fonts function when it’s enabled as instead of my fonts I get Times Nee Roman font. The requests to Google servers are gone, that’s good. But I don’t have my fonts on the front end, which makes the whole idea void.
The result is the site looks ugly now with Times New Roman. So what am I supposed to do?

Are these settings coreect at all?

Ok, so OMGF is able to remove fonts, but not add them. Interesting.

Are you using any CSS minification plugins?

Your settings seem fine. I can see that your preloading requests to externally hosted fonts.

Could you share a screenshot of the settings in ‘Generate Stylesheet’ to help me determine if this is a bug in OMGF?

    Hi Daan,

Yes, I’m using LSCache plugin as I’m on a Litespeed server. CSS minification enabled.

Here’s the screenshot of the settings.

So far, it’s just random. At the moment, Remove Google Fonts is enabled, I got my fonts back on my website but in this case I also get back my external requests.
At some point, my fonts just disappeared (not good) with Remove Google Fonts enabled but external requests dropped down as well (which is good). It just doesn’t make sense.

I’ve noticed this is happening to other people communicating with them in Facebook groups. They get Times New Roman when Remove Google Fonts is enabled, they freak out and delete OMFG.

It’d be great if we could find the solution. If you need more info on my side, just let me know.

    Thank you.

    Hi Daan,

How’s it progressing? I know, coronovirus, but has the issue been worked on at all?
If this cannot be resolved, I’d have to move on to a different plugin, can’t wait for weeks.

    Thank you.

    Hi Max,

I can confirm this is a bug in the preload option of OMGF. I’m currently working on a fix.

Apologies for the hold up. I’ll post back to you!

    Aaaand, fixed.

At least, I think. Could you update to the latest version to see if that resolves the issue?

    Thread Starter maxgorky

    (@maxgorky)

Version 3.3.4. This is the latest I suppose? I still get external requests for those fonts.
I can share my creds privately if you need to go deep.

Did you flush your caches after updating?

Btw, how are you testing? I just went onto your site and I see no external requests, just those fonts added by OMGF and some others added by your theme: https://imgur.com/a/pUJUB5S
