    Hi,

I just did a local wordpress install, with the default themes plus the Divi Builder which I’m currently using on my live site, .

My first task is to pick a new font for my tagline. In the pull down design menu there are miles of fonts, and I don’t know where they came from or how to get rid of them. I don’t see any font folders in any of the theme folders, or fonts listed in the style.css files. Ideally, my menu would only contain default fonts contained inside themes, and a few fonts I like from Google Fonts and Adobe’s Type Library.

How do I go about finding and removing all the fonts that are cluttering up my workspace?

For reference, I had my site built for me by a designer and have exported and imported the xml data to work on the site locally on my machine. I’m not aware that any fonts were transferred during this process, but the same fonts appear on both my local install, and my hosted install at Simplehost.com.

Thanks for any advice you have to offer!

As you use a commercial theme/plugin and need support, please use their official support channel. We feel they are best equipped to support their products.

Commercial products are not supported in these forums. .

Yes, but I don’t believe the fonts are part of Divi. Divi lists a handful of fonts associated with their product, but my WordPress install has many more fonts not listed there.

I believe this is a WordPress question. How do I find and remove fonts that appear in my WordPress install and nowhere else.

    For reference:

Do you see what I’m talking about?

PS: I suspected the extra fonts might be installed on my Mac, but looking at the Font Book app, I don’t see them there either:

Do you have any font plugin? There is no font dropdown in core WordPress.

Nope. Here’s a screen of my plugins:

Thanks for helping me work through this. I appreciate your time!

By the way, the screenshot of the Divi fonts (with the pulldown menu) are from their website that I used to find out which fonts they install. The second screenshot I posted was from inside my WP install, and didn’t contain a pulldown.

Then it’s part of the the theme. Please use their forums for Divi support.

Okay. I uninstalled Divi from my system, and don’t see those fonts showing up anywhere any more. I only see space to add CSS in the default themes, which I think is how I would add new fonts.

Lame of Divi to show only 93 fonts on their reference website, while delivering hundreds of others not listed.

Thanks for your help in getting to the bottom of this!
