Too many H1, H2 tags in pages

  • When i check my websites with Taffic travis software it show too many h1 tags but i have only set only one H1 tag in my pages.

    My Theme:- Greenchilli

    Also it says error ” Your page title and H1 tags are the same.”

    Please guide me how to fix this errors!

  • It is common wisdom that there should be only one h1 tag on a page, and that h2/h3/4 etc tags should frame your contents sections / sub-sections and so on, this is because it is believed that google and so on penalise pages which break these conventions.
    I don’t see any problems with your h1 and title being the same except that I mostly prefix my page titles with the website name, or my name, this way when the page gets bookmarked, it carries some recognisable branding.

    Regardless of the debate about the number of H1 tags you can have on a page, I would still like to know how to change the Site Title to an H2 and leave the blog title an H1. So is there a way to do this or not?
