Too much information!?

  • I have been a WordPress user for about 6 months, since I switched over from Blogger. I love it!

    One of the things I love is the plugins available, but there is one problem – there are so many plugins that do the same thing (essentially) that it is very hard to choose. Sometimes, a plugin doing the very thing I want is provided on wordpress.com, so we can all know it works well. But I don’t know which of the any plugins available on www.ads-software.com (if any) that it is.

    A case in point – the WordPress ‘Like’ button that is now by default at the bottom of every wordpress.com blog. Which of the many www.ads-software.com plugins (if any) does it use? perhaps this information is available somewhere, but I haven’t found it yet.

    So my question is, is this information readily available for all wordpress.com plugins? If not, could it be included somewhere please?
