Too slow and it’s hurting my page speed

  • It’s taking too much time to load and some of the fonts/icons are from fontawesome/themsile which are not optimized well and it’s making request to their servers rather than storing them locally on our servers so each time a user visits it repeats the request to their servers leading to more time and unoptimized icons which are huge in size, additionally some if not most of the blocks are not well optimized its taking too long to loads

    I’m also using other blocks such as generateblocks, kendice blocks for most of the website elements. I’m using otterblocks only on icons and highlighting of text but it’s otterblock that’s taking too much time to load.

    I’m sorry to hear that you had a negative experience while using Otter! We’re trying to provide a lot of useful features that help the users reach their websites’ goals.

    For a better performance, you can disable the unused blocks in the Otter settings so their dependencies won’t be load anymore.

    Regarding the fonts and icons, they can be stored locally out of the box only in the Pro version of the product.
