I’ve got no objection to devs putting plugins in the WP respository with the sole intention of making money, however I do object to when previous features which were free being hoisted out of the plugin and being made premium features.

Both unlimited multiple locations and the ability to set how many minutes in advance to show opening/closing soon warning were both free in the previously available free version of this plugin.

    Hi @jacquidervan,

I’m sorry you’re unhappy with how this plugin is turning out. A few things from my side:

    • If my sole purpose is to make money, I would sell my plugin on other market places and not have a free version to begin with.
    • I don’t agree that I’m taking out features. The features are still in the plugin. I do agree that I’ve made some changes to those features. These changes are indeed more restrictive than before, and that is totally my fault. We’re all learning at some point. This is my first plugin and my learning curve. I am obviously going to make mistakes in the process.
    • This is, to my knowledge, the only plugin offering so much functionality for free (in its genre). Give it 1 star when it’s buggy and destroying your site. Giving it 1 star because you are upset and may have to spend a few bucks to get someone else’s hard work, seems a bit vendictive. Especially since you’ve been happy with the plugin. It still works and still does the same things. I did even offer you a solution via email, because I acknowledge my error and want to recktify.

Sorry, but I take exception when I invest time to set this up on a test site and when I go to recreate it on the live website I find I cannot because what I was able to create on the test site is now subject to your “restrictions”.

Also, I did not give you permission to add me to your email list – go hawk your premium plugin elsewhere.

Maarten (AKA bertdemaekelar) – you are aware that you are not allowed to have two accounts here on www.ads-software.com aren’t you? It must get tedious having to sign up several accounts and email accounts to give yourself 5-star reviews on your other plugin:

Presumably it is you right since you obviously forgot to sign out of that account before responding to this thread – that’s you right @bardemaekelare?

    You sir, are a fraud.

momofone, please stop. Everyone clearly understands you are not happy, don’t mind using other people’s work for free and then offer non-stop, unsolicited criticism. So, simply don’t use his plugin and move on.
