    Hi,

I updated to WordPress 5.6 and the syntax highlighter is not working in the back-end when I create a post. I don’t see the icon in the toolbar and the code that I previous have added are not shown in the synax highligther but in a pre block.

I do use the classic editor.

    Can you please fix this?

    Thank you.

Yes, I see that the button disappeared from the toolbar. I will try to restore it. But what do you mean that previous code does not work with highlighter? Does it mean that old posts show pre blocks? Is it the problem only with the new posts?

We all count on you for the amazing work that you do! Thanks again.

Yes, that’s correct. All my posts show as a pre block in the back-end. It normally did show the highlighter block in the back-end.

It’s with new and old posts. If I downgrade WP, all is functioning fine.

Edit: I saw you published an update. After the update, I do see the toolbar icon and the pre blocks are converted to the syntax highlight block.

    Thank you!
