    Hello

Am trying to use this plugin with Toolset views, but the Lightbox seem to not understand the value that am trying to add.

I want to know if it is possible to add a custom field to get the URL of the video or is the plugin only able to process manually implemented URL’s ?

this is the code that am trying to make work:

    [wp-video-popup video= “[wpv-post-field name=’video-url-media’]”]

    <div class=”date-views img” style=’background-image:url([wpv-post-featured-image size=”full” output=”url”]);’>

    <div class=”wp-video-popup”><myPlayIcon/></div>

So to someone could add a link manually in the back-end and the plugin would take that value and add it to the image/Lightbox.

I hope it was clear and thank you in advance !

    Cordialy,
    Alex

    Hi @alexbang,

You’re trying to render a shortcode inside a shortcode, I’m not sure if this is possible to be honest.

I’m also not sure if the shortcode is set up correctly with the different quotation marks. What does the shortcode above output on the frontend?

We do have a tutorial on how to achieve a more custom solution with ACF for instance – https://wp-video-popup.com/docs/pro/#acf

I’d try to reach out to Toolset as well to see if they have an idea if this can be done.

    Best,
    David

    Hello !

Thank you for the answer, the Shortcode is displaying an image with a play icon on it, the pop up is working, but it just show a youtube error message.

You can see it here: https://cedec.ca/multimedias/

am going to try and reach out to Toolset, I will also take a look a the ACF solution that you sent me.

    Thank you !

it looks like one of those 2 videos is set up correctly. Keep in mind that with the free version only one popup can be added to a page.

You can try to remove the shortcode/trigger on top of the page. The one below should work once the other on top is removed.

Indeed, the probleme was the fact that my loop was showing 2 different Video in 2 pop ups, and I have the Free version.

Thank you for your help in solving my problem !

I wish you a great day and stay safe

    Cordialy,
    Alex
