There is no documentation on whether tooltip.css or tooltip.js changes or will cure this problem. At any rate, the default settings aren’t working. Does anybody know?? By not having this functionality intact, viewers are completely losing out on the main purpose of the plugin!

WARNING: This plugin ideosynchratically ONLY places text in the tooltip that is absolutely nothing but ASCII alphanumeric characters (0-9, A-Z). Even the format that displays must matches the format that is entered, including line breaks. An unbroken line of text, however long, will display as an unbroken line of text, however long. Otherwise, IT WON’T WORK! My definition page text had other HTML, script, and non-ascii stuff to enhance definition content and for formatting purposes so it just refused to display correctly. The behavior was just bizarre. It would be nice if these limitations were explained in the plugin documentation so as to avoid lots of headaches trying to figure out what’s wrong. Since I couldn’t get it to work on the definition page text, as created, including scripts, etc., I simply chose the option to just display “Excerpt” text which had to be specifically crafted to look nice as tooltip text. All this means I have to redo 597 already completed terms. Newbies are especially vulnerable. Not fun stuff Creative Mind…….

We love what plugin authors give us. Again, it would be so nice if plugin authors supplied complete and comprehensible documentation that prevents users from conducting frustrating and endless experimentation.
