Tooltips help

  • I am trying to add some supplemental content to our site in the posts/pages using tooltips. I need to add text, images, audio, HTML, anything really inside of the tooltip. I would like it to be easy to add from the visual editor (MCE button, custom fields?) as we are looking to add a number of tooltips per post.

    I have tried almost all of the plugins I believe, and not one is working correctly. There don’t seem to be a lot of plugins for this purpose either. The one that has come closest to working is called Popupper. This makes the tooltips work correctly on the post preview, but not on the real updated post (the javascript within the content is missing…)

    Is there a simple way to implement tooltips that can hold “real” content (not just title elements)? I don’t mind doing a bit of work to implement a way that is not a plugin in either. Any ideas would be great!

    I figured out the plugin Popupper wasn’t functioning correctly. The theme I’m using relies heavily on AJAX for the functions of the site. Any page loaded with AJAX isn’t displaying the tooltips correctly, while a page loaded without works just fine.
