Top level menu items

Hi

I would like to have some menu items where only the sub-pages have content, and the top level menu item of that stack is merely a means to get to the sub-menu items (if that makes sense!)
IE If I clicked on the top level it will not do anything. Only if I select a sub-menu item can I get to a page.

How do I achieve this?
