So I realized the space only shows to ME when i’m logged into wordpress. Is there still a way to fix that?

Forget the top issue, can anybody help me get my footer background black?

Add this to your style.css:

#footer {background-color: black;width: 1050px;margin: 0 auto;}

That should give you black, same width as content and centered.
