    Hi there,

Why is a website page showing more than once in a Top Pages/Posts Report ?

Is this due to multiple URL’s to that one page from multiple pages … or ??

Is the Pro version needed to show which pages link to the target page ?

    Thanks,

    Pete

    Hi @pete048,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry for the trouble here.

It’s possible that some pages on your website share the same page title, or if you have a staging site using the same Google Analytics property, and activity for both sites are being tracked, this might be why a page may appear more than once in your report.

The list of pages in the Top Posts/Pages report are links you can click on. Out of curiosity, when you hover over the duplicate page titles, are you able to see what URL they redirect to?

    Here’s an example screenshot: https://a.supportally.com/i/2hbUeo

If you notice that they are the exact same URL, our team would be happy to help take a closer look at things if you could reach out to us at https://www.monsterinsights.com/get-help/.

    Thank you!

Thanks Michelle for the prompt reply and very useful info…

The URL’s to the same page do differ; one has a trailing “/” and the other doesn’t. I will fix that.

Maybe an idea for any trailing “/” to be trimmed off before analysis and reporting (?)

    Thanks again

    Pete
