Top Rated images in Date Range – Specifically: last week | month | year

    Thanks for the plugin, and adding the date functionality.

    Do you have a way, without me getting in and mucking up your lovely code, of being able to automatically display the top images for the last week, month, year, etc…? In particular, it would be great to see this added to the widget.

    While I’m certainly not adverse to getting my hands dirty and diving in myself, I don’t want to fork your code too much, especially as your updates tend to be there for a reason.

    I added the date filters because I thought it gave the maximum flexibility for the administrator to pull results from any period, not just some arbitrarily predefined ones. And I think that works best in the admin side of things.

    But I like your idea of adding a filter in the widget, I would just need to be sure the options are ideal. I would imagine the following options would suffice for most people.
    Show top voted images for:

    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • This week
    • Last week
    • This month
    • Last month
    • This year
    • Last year

    That feels a bit cumbersome perhaps? Do you think that would work for you, or do you have any other ideas of how to handle this feature?

    I think that would work perfectly, and in a drop-down it certainly wouldn’t feel over done.

    I’m in the middle of getting the next Premium release packaged and approved, so it won’t make it in right now.
    But I’ve added it on my list, and I can’t see it being a disruptive change to make, so I’m sure it will get in soon ??
