Topic being cut off / truncated

    Hello,

    I recently noticed that a lot of our Yoast approved (green circle) titles are being truncated when they are showin the SERP. I have viewed both the mobile and desktop preview in Yoast. The mobile preview shows the whole title, the desktop preview shows it being truncated. My team and I assume the green circle means approved and ‘will not get truncated’. Is there an adjustment coming for this? Or is there a way we can adjust what title width (length) constitutes a green circle for the title?

    @kbowson Can you please give us an example of one of the pages where you are experiencing this issue so we can look into this further?

    Hey @devnihil – I am having trouble finding an example, as I just added our site name back to the URL. Will adjust things and get back to you. Apologies, I did not realize that that would change things so much.

    PS: Is there a way to make the variables optional (so that they are only added if there is space)

    That said, we are afraid to say that there’s no option available to make the template variables optional so they are only added if there’s space.
