Topic Still Not Resolved
-
I posted three days ago about the problem of Membership/WordPress Roles. I have set up some subscription plans for my site.
“No Subscription” – No Added Perks
“Monthly Rate” – A One Month Subscription with perks.
“Yearly Rate” – A Year Subscription with perks. The perks added for the paid for subscription includes a forum, a newsletter, and first viewing of content. All of this is setup and ready. The issue at hand is, when I try to give (as admin) a user a subscription, the user still cannot view the forum. This is because the user by the Membership Plugin is classified as a “Contributor” but, through WordPress’s default members column, they stay placed as a “Subscriber” You may say “Well change the default user role to Contributor” but, all this does is then allow the “No Subscription” plan users to view this locked page. I am not sure how to change this or if there’s a step I am missing. I hope this helps and hope I hear back soon. Thank you.
