• This plugin was working all fine before I update it to Version 0.9.5.1. (except when it causing issue when updating the WordPress core to Version 4.6.1 – before database update step page)

All turns into total disasters and causing much headache after I updated it to Version 0.9.5.1.

On one of my sites, the minify becomes not working at all. Many settings do not work anymore (the buttons and options become grey and can’t be clicked).

AND THE WORST THING is happen to my other site. It has the ‘white screen of death’ after update. After I forcefully disabled the plugin by renaming the folder’s name, my site is back to normal. I eventually removed the plugin from all of my sites.

Please sorted that out and let me know if you have made sure it works before rolling out new version.

It may take a while for me to let myself to try this plugin again though…

    Hello @taniav

Seems you are having php version related issue. Current version of W3TC doesn’t support php 5.2 anymore, better to upgrade to php 5.6 at least. Would you please make sure about your php version?

    Let me know about it.

    Have a good day!

    Cheers

Hello, I am having a similar problem and I don’t know what to do…

We were running Version 0.9.4.1 of W3 Total Cache and received a notice to update to 0.9.5.1.

I clicked on Update Now, and after it was finished, I went to the site, only to receive the error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function add_global_groups() on a non-object in /home2/yortroy/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php on line 144

I cannot access any portion of the website, and I cannot even log into the WordPress dashboard. I manage this website, but I am not a “web designer/developer” so my knowledge is limited. ??

    Help!

    Hello, I wanted to write a follow-up:

We went through our web host control panel and found the W3-Total-Cache folder in public_html/wp-content/plugins

Per a suggestion from support at our theme maker, we changed the file name from w3-total-cache to w3-total-cache_1 and now our website is viewable and accessible to the public.

The problem now is that when we attempt to log in to the WordPress dashboard, we are receiving the following error:

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home2/yortroy/public_html/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home2/yortroy/public_html/wp-content/object-cache.php.

What do you suggest we do?

    Hey there,

If you navigate to the wp-content folder, delete advanced-cache.php and .object-cache.php. You may also need to edit your .htaccess file (in your main directory) and remove any of the W3 Total Cache stuff. In the file I was working on, it was at the top, and is noted with # comments.

    Hi @bappidgreat,

Thank you for some enlightenment on the issue. I checked I am using PHP 5.4 (native).

Can you please let me know what things should I aware of before upgrading my PHP version? Will there be any problems with my WordPress sites?
