• First, without warning the plugin overwrote my other default sidebars and eradicated my other sidebars (contact, footer, etc). Then it placed a sidebar manager over the widgets page in a position that disallowed my ability to see or “add” certain widgets. Then it slowed down my browser so that it took ten times longer than usual to load ANY page within WP. I lost several hours creating sidebars that ultimately didn’t work and prevented the other sidebars from working.

I realize this may be a bug or version problem, but this is the version available on the “search plugins” page of WP and so I installed it. What a mess. no thanks.

  • Why didn’t you ask for help on the support forum before posting a review like this?

Looks like there’s good support for it:

I left a negative post because I lost hours of very valuable time due to serious problems with the plugin. When it eradicated my other sidebars and held them unusable I had to inactivate it and move on. I am disappointed that I have lost so much time on this and didn’t want to troubleshoot something with obvious compatibility issues. I updated the plugin and the version downloaded seems to be the most recent and claims to be compatible with my new version of WP.

…So I suspect that finding the fix will take a lot of time, while my website sits scrambled.

    Hi REl RES,

Sorry for the bother you had here, I really hope that the experience you had was somehow unrelated to the plugin.

HOWEVER, we have done a massive upgrade, heaps of new work and would like to invite you to try the new version to see if works well for you and if you might consider adjusting your review accordingly.

I’d also like to give you a free WPMU DEV account by way of apology for any bother, just ping me on james (at) incsub /dot/ com to fix that up.

Thanks for your time and sorry again for the bother.

    James
