    Howdy wolverinejoe80,

That code is probably either part of a theme override that your theme author wrote, in which case it is stored as HTML/PHP inside of your theme folder. Or, it can be found in WP Admin > Events > Settings > Display “Add HTML before event content”.

    Cheers!

    thx!

but i don’t see this in settings?

‘Display “Add HTML before event content”.’

    i have general/template/help

    maybe the plugin isn’t updated?

My instructions probably were not clear enough. Go to the page WP Admin > Events > Settings > Display. Once you are in the WP Admin area, Events is a heading which clicking on or hovering over with a mouse will cause a flyout menu. Then click on Settings. There is a tab called Display in the settings page, click on that. On the display page, find the text field labeled “Add HTML before event content”. That’s where you want to be. If your code is not there, it’s probably part of the theme. You’d need to contact the theme author if you don’t know how to change it.

    Cheers!

hm… i still can’t seem to find it.

    i only have 3 tabs – general/template/help

can’t seem to find ‘display’ anywhere.

    maybe the plugin is outdated?

can i pm you so you can take a look at our wordpress?

Oh, you might try template. Perhaps you are using a different translation of WP than I am so the word is slightly different. Does Template have that text field I mentioned?

If not, then it sounds like something, likely your theme, is modifying our settings page to add/remove options within it. You could test this theory by doing a conflict test, and seeing if a tab named something like “Display” appears and contains that text field. Test For Conflicts.

Thanks for keeping us updated. I am not able to login to your site due to our policies, but I appreciate the offer. If your plugin is outdated it should show up as needing an update on the WP Admin > Plugins page. Feel free to update it if it’s not 3.9 already.

yikes.. that looks kinda overwhelming. i’ll give it a try after backing up everything

ok, so i tried it and didn’t make any changes.

instead i clicked ‘update’ in plugin section and now i what you are talking about.

but the problem is when i updated everything looks screwy… different css, different everything…

so i had to go back to the older version…

any idea how to update the plugin without changing the style how things are set up?

Unfortunately wolverinejoe80 it really does sound like your site is running a theme which integrates with a past version of The Events Calendar. The Theme would need to be updated to be compatible with the latest version, or you will need a programmer/WP Expert on hand to examine your site and perform the modifications you need. I wish there was an easier way, but based on what you’ve described those are our options.

    Cheers!
