    Checking logs after a backup, I get these two errors and was hoping for an explantion:

    [2020-02-23 06:05:50 UTC] PHP shutdown – Error found: Array
    (
    [type] => 2
    [message] => Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=3199497
    [file] => /home/xxxxx/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php
    [line] => 2030

    My backups seem to be there, so not sure what the error is about.

    Hi @joegiglia,

    Sorry to hear about the Error while sending QUERY packet problem you’re experiencing with Total Upkeep.

    Despite what the actual error message is implying, generally it means that the backup process is deemed too resource intensive by your hosting company, and the backup process is being automatically killed.

    Are you hosting with DreamHost by chance? If so, this article may help: https://www.boldgrid.com/support/total-upkeep/dreamhost-without-fastcgi/

    If you’re not hosting with DreamHost, you can try changing your compressor to System Zip. This article can help you with that too: https://www.boldgrid.com/support/total-upkeep/change-backup-compressor/

    Please let us know if this helps.

    Thanks,
    – Brad

    Hi @joegiglia,

    Can you supply the full log?

    The error found was [type] => 2, which is only a warning. The logs may show the backup completed successfully even though there was a warning (IE and not a fatal error).

    The PHP shutdown – Error found check is done after the backup has completed. We look to see if any php warnings / errors occurred along the way, and if so, add them to the log. It sounds like we’ll need to adjust the logging and try to determine during which process the warning was actually triggered.

    Thanks,
    – Brad
