Tour Operator & Travel Agency connection

  • Hi everyone.

    I am newbie in WordPress world and accepting a customer requests to create a different websites who suits their needs. So, my customer wants to connect tour operator with his website in purpose to create a travel agency website. How to connect? Tour operator offer XML, API or iframe options. But how to connect? I don’t get it ?? In Woocommerce is easy, go to products, click upload XML file and that’s it. But what about travel agency?

    You shall better ask the site providing API or xml feed what you can use to import data to your WordPress site. Or documentation on API or xml format that can be used to code a custom plugin

    The thing is I don’t code. I would use the WP Travel Theme. So it means I need to use Tools – Import – WordPress Install Now?

    Sorry, but there’s nothing to “share”. What Yui is saying is that the XML file that is supplied to you will need you (or someone that you hire) to write a custom importer for it. There is no pre-built solution for that – unless the company that’s supplying the file already had something built, which you’d have to ask them about. They also might have something built that may connect to their API as well, but again, only they’d be able to tell you that.

    If you don’t have the ability to do that, which is not a bad thing as we’re not all programmers, the better option might be to use their iframe, as that won’t require any coding or additional work.
