Tournament table gets populated with the same teams entered at the first row.

    Using WP 5.0.1

    When i try and populate the teams for a tournament table, i fill out all of the teams in round 1, however when i hit Update Games – WordPress will sit there for ages applying the changes.

    After that the table gets populated, in all rounds up to the final with the teams from the very first game in the list,the same time and same date.

    The link provided by a user who posted this issue a year ago is not working.

    Please help

    Hi,
    Thanks for writing. I’m not able to repeat this error on my dev box (which doesn’t imply you aren’t seeing it). I assume you are referring to the FREE version of the plugin downloaded from this site. (If not, you are in the wrong place. Please post on the Shoal Summit Solutions support forums.)

    1. Yes, depending on the size of the tournament, it can take quite a while to update the games the first time through. That’s because the plugin actually creates the games at that point, which involves a lot of DB updates and integrity checks. Be patient.

    2. Did you set other dates and times? If so,
    a. Send me screenshots of the admin page and the front end (shortcode) if you’ve gotten that far.
    b. Turn on WP DEBUG, build the tourney again from scratch, and let me know what comes up in the log (if anything).

    Hi.
    I had similar issues. I found out, that the game post types are not deleted/trashed if the tournament is deleted/trashed. After manually deleting all game post types, it worked. I added a trash hook to trash the games of the tournament too.

    Thanks. I’ll check that out and make sure the games are deleted with the tournament in the next release.
