    Hi,

I’ve added the plugin to my staging website and have tested entering two addresses to see if all is working ok. In both tests, the town isn’t entered into the town field and I’m wondering why this is happening and how to fix it?

I’ve got screen prints of both but not sure how to add them here, can somebody help?

    Thanks!

    Hi

I did and I’ve just tested it, thank you for sorting it out so quickly ??

The town is now populating in the right field which is great. Another issue I now find is that when there is a village in the address as well as a town, it adds them both together in the town field without a space in between.

Is it possible to only have the town in the town field? And when there is a village in the address too, for this to appear in the second box of the street address fields just under the street name and number box instead?

    Hello @helenmw,

Glad to hear that the first concern is resolved now. Regarding your second inquiry, could you please share a sample address? This will allow us to verify and assess the Google API response for this address on our end.

    Anticipating your reply.

Yes of course, if you type in 3 Sharrow Lane and select the first option in Sheffield that pops up, this will give you a good example.

It displays as Nether EdgeSheffield in the town field.

Village is Nether Edge, and town is Sheffield.

Yes all working great now thank you for your help!

Just one more question I wondered – when I type in the post code, it comes up with the address option and I click it. There is no option when doing this though to select any house number? It only populates with the street no number, and in another case just the village, no street name at all.

    Hello helenmw(@helenmw),

Glad to hear that the plugin?is working fine. It would be great if you could share your feedback on our product review page.

Our plugin seamlessly integrates with the Google API key to retrieve address suggestions directly. Occasionally, when only the postcode is entered, the API may not fetch the precise address. Therefore, we recommend verifying addresses with house numbers or street numbers. If possible, sharing a sample address would enable us to check from our end as well.

Ok thank you. An address as an example would be using the post code S11 8AE. When I type this in no house number appears to select.

I have another issue that just appeared on the live website the other day and I’m not sure why.

This text appeared on the Checkout page without myself making any changes –

Warning: Undefined array key “billing_company” in /home/customer/www/mrsshah.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/address-validation-address-auto-complete/includes/class-wf-address-autocomplete.php on line 172

Warning: Undefined array key “shipping_company” in /home/customer/www/mrsshah.co.uk/public_html/wp-content/plugins/address-validation-address-auto-complete/includes/class-wf-address-autocomplete.php on line 197

Do you know what’s caused this? I’ve had to unactivate the Elex plugin to make it disappear, it worked fine before.

    Hello helenmw(@helenmw),

    1. As previously stated, our plugin incorporates the Google API key to directly retrieve address suggestions. Occasionally, if only the postcode is entered, the API might not provide the exact address. Therefore, we suggest ensuring accuracy by including house numbers or street numbers in the address. When using a complete address format like “3 Sharrow Lane, Sheffield,” the API accurately populates the entire address, including the house number.
    2. In reference to PHP errors, we have released the latest version of the plugin today. Kindly update to the newest version and check for any issues.

We hope this provides clarity! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you require further assistance.
