Track languages of the site

  • Hi,
    I use the plugin in a multilanguage site and I want to track in which language the user make the subscription. Can I send a custom hidden field with a default value or change the group ID for the different languages?

    Hi Maurizio,
    I’m afraid but the plugin is not supporting your request right now.
    As a workaround, you could evaluate one of the following alternatives:

    • replace the plugin with a link to an external form directly hosted by MailUp. MailUp forms (see List building tools) are much more powerful
    • add a mandatory field and ask the user to specify the country code (e.g. IT, FR, DE, US, UK, ES, …). The instructions about how to fill in that field could be given by the text of the correspondent label. Then you can use “filters” on MailUp to split subscribers by country code

    We understand that this is not exactly what you asked.
