• Hello everyone,

I’m seriously having trouble with WordPress (integrated in Joomla with the JD-WP-component).

    Trackback (sending) doesn’t work!
I also have a standalone WordPress 1.5.x installation in the same php directory – no problems sending tracksbacks.
So it can’t be a server issue.

I already applied the patch for the 2 php-files offered in various fourms.
I also tried applying the MySQL-command as stated elsewhere.

I just can’t get it to work.

    Please help.

    Heiko

  • Then I would think the problems lies in the fact that it’s tied to Joomla. Have you tried contacting the devloper of the component?

I tried that but no reply yet.
I now also installed WordPress2 standalone for test-purposes.
    Trackbacks works fine.

This can’t be a huge thing, can it?
I also tried to run “execute-pings.php” manually.
    However, I get this error:
“Direct Access to this location is not allowed.”

    Two questions:
    1) Can this be the reason that it doesn’t work? Maybe the wordpress plugin is trying to execute that file, too, but it is blocked?
(As far as I know this error, however, wouldn’t come up when a file is accessed by the server, only when someone tries to open it directly in a browser.)

    2) How can I access this file directly? What would I have to make to disable this file blocking?

    Thanks,

    Heiko

Does anyone have any insight into migrating from Typepad to WordPress and keeping all trackbacks live?
