Trackback from Google approval needed?

I left the discussion setting to “Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article” & “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”, though “Allow people to post comments on new articles” is not checked. Pages do not have comments enabled.

Today I got a trackback from google.com and the site asks me to approve it. What should I do with it and why?
