Trackbacks?

I’ve posted several times to this board about Trackbacks not working in WordPress 1.2
Do they or do they not? I ‘ve sen other people posting, and to this day, NOT ONE post with what the fix is. WordPress claims and seems to have code that SEEMS to be indicating that Trackbacks work. Do they or don’t they? Is anybody listening to these requests? When I include a link to a post in WordPress (with the format of
https://theoblogical.org/wp/index.php?p=1424 —- a test in my MT blog that uses this link seems to get there….MT shows me the WordPress Trackback link coming back when I post the MT post….but WordPress never seems to know that the trackback has occurred.
