Trackbacks and Pings while using Discus

  • OK… I average about 100 trackback spam emails a day… I have read a lot through the forums, but I’m still anot sure what to do here.

    I unclicked the box “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)” under Settings ~ Discussion but it does not seem to have had any effect on the email Trackbacks.

    I’m using Discus for my Comments and I see no spam under any of my comments… however, if I add the widget “Recent Comments” it shows a list of the latest spam comments… plus I also get the 100 or so Track back emails daily.

    Can someone help me with this… I have no idea what’s going on or how to solve it. Thanks!
