Trackbacks broken in 1.5?

just out of curiosity…wouldn’t it be easier to test trackbacking by trackbacking one of your own posts to another of your own posts on the same site? that way, you’ll be able to make sure that the trackback link your site presents works, and you’ll be able to see that trackbacks to other places work.

or, with pingbacks on, you could just delete the trackbacks after they appear. if you’re doing this to posts that are 4 months old, I doubt anyone will notice…

Yes, that would be a good idea, but what if it doesn’t work? How do you know if it’s a problem with the outgoing part or the incoming part?

Wow! That fix actually did fix my outbound trackbacks (inbound trackbacks have worked for a while now), which haven’t worked since 1.2 for me. I don’t think my outbound pings work yet though. How would I know for sure?

mkgago, TB/PB can work between two weblogs on the same domain and not work otherwise. Back in the day, I tested trackbacks between my regular weblog and my photolog, and all seemed just fine, and it wasn’t. Neither could reach another site.

If I’m supposed to be able to login to see if my trackbacks are in the moderation queue, what’s the login info?

Trackbacks from other sites to my blog works fine, but outgoing ones won’t show up at the remote blog. Just tried Trident’s site and my post it’s not on the site or in the moderations quene. What could be the reason for this problem?

How can I check if pingbacks work? I mean, they don’t really show up anywhere do they?

Umm..I replaced my functions.php file and now when I go to my blog, it’s not there. I just get a dump of the functions.php file…

I’m getting on again off again outgoing trackbacks.

I tried using the URL listed here as a test but that doesn’t work. But I have successfully posted trackbacks to friends blogs hosted on typepad.

I’m confused.

I have downloaded the nightly build for April 2nd and put those files in place.

Still can’t get TB/PB working at all, incoming or outgoing. Installed WP on 3/5/05, Confirmed that my functions.php is identical to the one Ryan posted. Anyone still having these problems???

Any luck on this? Is it really dead? I’d like to know for sure before I start banging away at figuring out if it is my code, me, or WordPress.
