Trackbacks Not Allowed, but Still Getting Spam Trackbacks

Hi,

I’ve set my blog up so that trackbacks are not allowed. It worked for a while, but now I’m getting trackbacks.

In fact, I get a ton of spam comments – which I can just ignore and delete from time to time. Is there any way I can prevent those comments? Prevent the spammers from finding the blog?

I’ve added tons of words to the “delete on sight” or whatever that category is, but some spam uses words I can’t really ignore entirely.

But, the trackbacks are immediately viewable, and some are very offensive.

Any ideas why the trackbacks are being posted when I’ve disallowed them?

Thanks for any help. Going to the blog every 2 minutes to delete the trackbacks is driving me nuts.
