Tracking CF7 events with GAD4WP

Is it possible to track Contact Form 7 submissions as an event with GAD? I’ve been trying to do this for the past month or so and trying whatever pieces of action hook code I find online but nothing seems to be working.

There seems to be several hooks to add in but they all differ with the version of CF7 you use and just about every site I go to is outdated or the hook doesn’t work when I check it a few days later. Or you need a different version of analytics code. It just doesn’t seem like anything is updated or user friendly anymore.

Has anybody out there successfully done this or do I need to not use this GAD plugin for this purpose?
