tracking-form not working –critical

I created an order and see it in the admin.
But when I tried getting the order details using tracking-form, I see that after I key in order number, it says
“There are no order statuses for tracking number: ***.”when inspected in network tab, I see that no value is found for email attribute in the request.
Please help resolve.
