Your choice! There is an option in the plugin settings for either (plus other features).

Hi Jeff, Thanks for the quick response!

I’ve look through the settings and I can not seem to find anything to set the tracking method. Is it worded differently in the settings page?

Also, I wanted to ask you about your Plugin vs Cloudflare’s GA app. I know this is far outside the realm of this forum so no worries if you don’t want to answer. I’m paying for Cloudflare for my CDN, so I figured if their services offer any discernible advantages I should use them, but I wasn’t sure if moving the responsibility to insert the GA code out of WordPress and on to a CDN would offer any performance advantage.

I know one huge benefit of your plugin is the ability to install separate tracking codes on subdomain’s, so that alone will probably keep me with your plugin, but wanted to throw it out there after reading your articles.

    Thanks for everything!

By default it’s classic tracking, or you can enable “Universal Analytics” for async.

I haven’t used cloudflare’s app, so I really can’t speak to that. I know that my plugin strives for simplicity, performance, and flexibility, but other than that it’s up to you.

    Excellent! Thank you!

Your plugin has been awesome, and the benefit of unique tracking codes on subdomains is hard to beat. So I’m GA Google Analytics all the way!

Thanks for your help and the great plugin!
