I am currently evaluating AliceWP Affiliate plugin. It seems the tracking is only on visits and not on clicks. I want tracking of clicks. Do you have a way out?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @rentosite,

Thank you for reaching out! SliceWP is set to track visits, not clicks. For all the ins-and-outs about how referral tracking works, please give this guide here a quick read: https://slicewp.com/docs/referral-tracking/

    Thank you and best wishes,

    Hi Guys,

@rentosite – a workaround might be using the free PrettyLinks to track clicks. Might need to use UncannyAutomator to create a PrettyLink for an affiliate, However, aside from PrettyLinks being useful if you wanna track stuff you promote as an affiliate to your list, or promos, A better solution is a proper analytics plugin.

Like the excellent Independent Analytics plugin [Pro supports WC and other integrations] which integrates with WC and offers a campaign URL builder.
This could perhaps be used with an automaton plugin like UncannyAutomator [pro] to generate a campaign URL per every new approved affiliate – on autopilot, so you get the stats in the analytics, along with your WC stats, abandoned/recovered cart stats etc. In one place.

For emailing status updates, use the Uncanny Automator plugin. Make a recipe to send email upon the event as the trigger.

Use it also for timed/differed emails and even for sequences (though, fr long and complex marketing sequences probably best use an email list management SaaS), notifications, pops, magic buttons etc.
It’s an outstanding plugin that enables connecting 3rd part sites, tools, Zapier, plugins etc and making automations without needing to code.

Note, to ensure email deliverability, best use SMTP.
For low volume, up to 300 emails /day, a cheap Hostinger account can do, with DNS set properly. They used to permit 1K/day and I have a lot of my WP sites set up for SMTP for my admin emails and 2FA login etc.
For high volumes incl eCom needs [transactional emails] the cheapest solution is CyberPanel managed email server. They set it all up and manage the server [excellent powerful instance from a German provider, incl Open Litespeed and the CyberPanel] for a mere $16/mo.

    Hope this helps!
