Tracks do not appear on web pages

I have added a track using Soundcloud is Gold in two ways: by clicking the “Insert Soundcloud Player” button and by copying and pasting the shortcode.
In both cases, the Soundcloud box is placed on the web page (Visual edit mode) and the shortcode can be seen in Text edit more.
When I preview the page, I no longer see the Soundcloud box; instead there are several blank lines where the box should be.
As far as I can remember, this plugin worked before I upgraded to WP 4.0.
