Hi, I’m the author of the Contact Form 7 plugin. Thanks for creating this nice plugin. I like it and I’d like to recommend it to our users, but a trademark issue seen in your plugin name makes it difficult.

We own the trademark right on the name “Contact Form 7”. For details about our trademark policy, please read this post.

    https://contactform7.com/trademark-policy/

You can resolve the issue if you change the name to anything that doesn’t include “Contact Form 7” at the front, such as “CF7 – reCaptcha v2”. “XXX for Contact Form 7” is OK for us as long as you distribute the plugin from www.ads-software.com.

I fully understand you have no bad intention to violate others’ rights, so I believe you’ll kindly comply with this soon.

For others interested in trademark protection on the WordPress Plugin Directory, have a read through this post.

    Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We’ve recently published an update that will hopefully address your concerns. We do want to make it clear to users that this plugin only works whenever Contact Form 7 is installed so we have opted to name it ReCaptcha v2 for Contact Form 7. There are also no plans in distributing this plugin outside the WordPress Plugin Repository and it will always be free of charge for users to install, no upsell.

If there’s anything else we can help you with feel free to reach out to us either via email or right here in this thread. Thank you for your contributions to the WordPress community and have a wonderful rest of your week!
