• This concept is exactly what I am looking for. However, I wondering if you can help me understand what value their would be in creating traffic back to my site from Listly? Traffic, Backlinks, Ect..?

It seems like I would be building the content and although I see where others from your site would share in the building but it seems that their be more benefit on your end then the site building the list unless you can help me understand differently. Also there is the duplicate content of same content on both sites etc.

Like I mentioned above this looks perfect for what I am looking for with the accept my comments unless you can help me understand differently.

    Thanks,

    Zorro

Think of Listly similar to YouTube. If you put your videos on YouTube, you get the benefit of people searching on YouTube, finding your videos and then discovering your blog or service.

If you are a premium Listly user, you could mark your List on Listly as private and still embed that on your site. This way you could “protect” your content and make it available only on your site.

Typically duplicate content has not been an issue for us so far. There’s usually enough content surrounding the list area that distinguishes the two pages enough. We typically see the blog rank higher in SEP for the same list page than Listly because Listly topics tend to be much wider than the blog.

Hope this explanation helps and you do use Listly. Please do sign in and visit our community site at https://community.list.ly. There are plenty of others who can share their experience with using Listly on their website.

Thanks for the response and glad you have included the feature that I can select what list only show on my site vs with the online community.

Looking at list that are on your site and also embedded on other sites. I curious where is the link back for the list owner located? Also are they follow or no follow URLs

Lovely plugin and comparing the Pro version and you have these features listed with no notes telling details as to what each of these are. Would you mind pointing me to the some more details for these.

Private Lists (this one means only on my site)
    Premium Layouts
    Advanced Moderation
    Maintain Short Links
    Maintain Affiliate Links

Also, kind of curious if the publisher key can be used on multiple sites. For example even wanting to test the WP plugin ability on test site? Also, it you have multiple websites how would that work if you do not have this ability seeing you are forcing the use of Social network ID to be part of the login process for an account.

Also do you have a premium coupon?

    Thanks,

    Great questions!

Here are some links to more information on Pro features:

    https://community.list.ly/t/making-and-sharing-private-lists-on-listly/192
    https://community.list.ly/t/choosing-a-layout-for-your-lists/39
    https://community.list.ly/t/premium-layouts-and-advanced-moderation-features/65#advancedmoderation

All short links in a list is expanded automatically unless your list is a premium list. The short links could be affiliate links or simply redirects for tracking

The link back to the user belongs in the source url for the list. The user profile page is going through some changes and we would be adding a way for users to link back to their site via the bio section.

Your publisher key is tied to a single domain, but we currently do not enforce that just to keep things simple. We want to encourage use of a Pro account with a publisher key on one domain.

Email login is coming very soon (within a week) so you don’t have to connect your social account to create a new Listly account.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks for the response.

I like that in the pro version I can create a list either private or privatize until I am ready to make public. For example could make a list that shows only on my site or until I know Google has indexed on my site first.

I also like the Affiliate idea. I am assuming with this feature not matter where my list appears the affiliate link would be usable and mine. So let me ask this. If I were to make a list and moderate other members contributions is it possible for whatever they add to the list say a given product that I could also add my own affiliate link for that product aka Amazon or whatever?

However, what I am seeing is all the links back to my site even if I was pro version would be nofollow. It looks like your trying to hog all the Google PR value here. I can see that with a pro version here. https://list.ly/list/2sO-best-sites-for-creating-quote-graphics

Even on another list here we can see that all links going outward that are even part of the list are all nofollow https://list.ly/list/1XJ-top-tips-for-driving-traffic-to-your-blog

Link back from profile from an SEO and 15 year professional Internet marketing perspective is not good enough in my opinion especially if I am paying for a pro version. The link back should be on all list I create. Especially the pro version. Its not fair for me to not only create the work of building a list and pay you for the list too and have no link back value. I highly suggest that if your going to change the profile that you also consider changing the source URL for a given list so that is a true link back for the list creator in the pro version.

I’m happy to hear the single domain is not a problem and email login is coming.

    Hi Zorro,

    1. Email login is live as of this morning. You can setup your account for email login by visiting https://list.ly/settings

    2. Yes, if other users contribute to your site and you edit the contribution to add your affiliate links, the affiliate links that you added will stay there regardless of where you (or others) embed the list. So you can potentially make a list on Listly, add affiliate links, and distribute your list for even others to embed on their site.

    3. follow vs no follow links for source: it is our understanding that we cannot switch out a “nofollow” link to “follow” link for a Pro account. It could be considered by Google as a paid link. If you have reference that this is not the case, please do share it with us.

    Thanks Shyamster,

    1. Cool

    2. Cool

    3. I don’t think so and here is why. We are paying for a framework aka service not an individual link from a given site owner. There is no agreement between the individual site owners that there is a payment being made for the purpose of backlinks.

I would say as product owner you should reach out to Matt Cutts of Google search and simply ask the question. I am fairly certain your are going to find what i’m saying to be true.
