Traffic heavy Site loads slow, due to too many plugins?

  • I have a site that Im expecting tons of traffic. Its loading slow and im afraid that Im loading too many plugins. I read a bunch of plugin articles and used the ones that were recommended. BUT truly how many plugins do I really need. Im afraid that some are conflisting against each other. I need one for SEO, ad management, analytics, backup etc..

    I have Platinum SEO, since I have that do I need any redirect plugin, metatag plugin, broken link checker/fixer, absolute links etc.. or will SEO Platinum handle all of that for me?

    Can you suggest the BEST plugins to use to handle all I need with minimal plugins to download? OR does it matter. Some people run like 25 or more plugins.

  • Are you sure it’s not your webhost instead of your plugin’s? I’ve got a pretty good number of plugins running and it doesn’t seem to slow my site down……… at least that I can tell lol…..
