Traffic Loss after Updating to Version 3.9.6

  • I recently upgraded Jetpack and WordPress to 3.9.6 and 4.4.2 respectively. I discovered that my jetpack settings were reset so I turned on the ones I thought I had running before.

    It’s caused my traffic to drop severely since then, or at least in the traffic that’s reported through Jetpack. not sure what could have happened. Has this happened to anyone else?

    My domain is my.prostreetonline.com, would greatly appreciate any help.

    I had a look at your site stats, and everything seems to be back to normal now. It seems your stats weren’t recorded for a brief period of time, when the Jetpack settings were reset, but you should be all set now!

    I’m curious though; could you walk me through the steps you followed to update the Jetpack plugin, and let me know what happened when you were done updating? Did you get an error? Was the plugin deactivated on update, or did it stay activated, but not connected to WordPress.com?
