The Traffic Overview widget for the Dashboard seems to be stuck at 0. It was working yesterday and in the Visitor Insights page > Visits, I see over 100 visits with today’s date (Jan 6). Shouldn’t the overview show the same number?

  • Hi @fcpxtemplates,

Thank you for opening the thread!

After reviewing the Traffic Overview widget, Visitor Insights, and Overview pages, we can confirm that they display the correct and consistent views.

Could you please share screenshots of the data you’re seeing? This will help us investigate the issue more effectively and provide you with more accurate answers

    Thank you for your cooperation!

    Regards,

This is what is happening (below). When I checked the page earlier today – it looked like it was working okay. It is now 6:40 PM CST and this is what is being displayed. The Today entry is locked at 0. Last night it stayed that way all night long. At first I thought it might have something to do with preferences – and Site Health had flagged something with a GDPR setting which I corrected.

Before I ran across this problem, my overall visits seemed to be increasing, but the Visitors/Views are showing an almost 25% drop-off. [The Active Now is probably *me* and the widget is not supposed to be tracking the Admin (me).

    I can’t figure this out.

It is now 11:30PM CST?—?going to the Visitor Insights page, I counted 131 Visitors and 131 Visits (the visits, on average about about 150-175% the number of visitors.) However, the Traffic Overview is still showing the exact same values as those in the image above for Today and Yesterday. The Total views is ***way off***. It should be in the high 200K range.

    Dear @fcpxtemplates,

Thank you for the detailed information!

After reviewing the issue, we found that it’s due to a time zone mismatch between UTC and your local time zone. Your data is correctly recorded in your site’s time zone, but it’s displayed in UTC, which is causing the time discrepancies.

Rest assured, your data remains safe and unaffected. We are working on a fix to align the displayed data with your local time zone and will notify you once it’s available.

Regarding the “Total Views” issue, this is related to the older version of the “Automatic Cleanup” feature. The problem happened because purged visitor and view data didn’t match. We’ve improved this feature in our recent updates, so it should work correctly going forward. Unfortunately, we can’t fix the mismatch in past data, but this won’t affect future data.

    Thanks for your understanding!

    Regards,
    Matthew
