Transactions are not going through

Hi, I’m a designer that gets by with a little code work. So I installed this plug-in hoping it would enable successful payments through Stripe. But no luck. I was informed by Stripe’s team that I would have to have a developer for the following,

“Looking at your logs, I’m only seeing requests made to the /v1/tokens-endpoint, but not to the /v1/charges-endpoint. I suspect you might be missing the request in your backend that actually creates the charge; this is a fundamental and required component in your integration.”

Is there a solution with this plug-in that I am missing short of having to hire a developer?
