    Hello,

I noticed that for a few days now I have been getting orders but these are not showing as everything just shows as 0 (as seen here: https://snipboard.io/c4e7Xq.jpg)

How can this be fixed? It was working fine a week ago.

    Best,
    Chris

    Hi @pleazo,

Thanks for the sheet image. This helps clarify the issue better.

Why are the order confirmation pages only show up in GA sometimes?

Inconsistencies are really tricky to troubleshoot, especially given transactions to do show up in GA for both the payment methods randomly. Do you see any commonalities in the orders that show up in GA for these days?

Also do you see any errors(Fatal errors) in your logs (WooCommerce > Status > Logs > Select – Latest Fatal Error Log under drop-down (right side) > Click – View button) for days when these transactions are missing?

BTW I noticed that you are running YOAST SEO plugin. Do you have Google Analytics configured on Yoast Plugin as well? If so, could you disable it for a few days?

Do keep us posted on how this troubleshooting works out for you.

Unfortunately I don’t see any commonalities.

I had a look and see the same fatal error report every single day, even on days where no woocommerce orders were made. This is the fatal error I see (image). Unfortunately I do not understand this fatal error. Is this issue coming via Cloudways or Dokan Pro?.

I don’t GA configured on YOAST.

    Hope someone can help!

The Fatal error looks to be coming from Dokan Pro based on your screenshot. Are you able to get the fatal error fixed and check if that helps resolve the GA issues? Fatal errors could be a reason why there are issues such as missing tracking, orders etc.

Do keep us posted on how this troubleshooting works out for you.

    Hi @simplysaru

Dokan said “It seems like those errors are not related to the orders. Those errors are self-created by Dokan Pro because the codebase might have faced issues to validate the vendor subscription packs’ expiry date.”

Therefore it looks like this is not related to why my orders are not showing up in Google Analytics.

What can the next steps be? I really would like to get this issue fixed.

    Hey there!

Dokan said “It seems like those errors are not related to the orders. Those errors are self-created by Dokan Pro because the codebase might have faced issues to validate the vendor subscription packs’ expiry date.”

Probably they aren’t related to the orders themselves, but they are causing fatal errors. Could you disable the Dokan pro plugin for a week or two? That will ensure there are no fatal errors on the site and then we can review how tracking shows up in Google Analytics without these fatal errors?

    Hi @simplysaru

Unfortunately I cannot disable Dokan as my website is a multi vendor marketplace and which needs Dokan to function.

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi @pleazo ,

The idea here is to ensure there are no Fatal errors. We think Fatal errors are the ones causing missing tracking information on the site. If you are able to fix the fatal errors without disabling the Dokan plugin, that would work too.

What you could also try is to create a staging site and test disabling Dokan on the staging site and track analytics by creating a few test orders. You would need to register a newer property for the staging site on Google Analytics and track it separately. This would help us narrow down and verify if the fatal errors are indeed the culprit.

    Hi @simplysaru

I am waiting for Dokan to help me fix them. Their support isn’t so great so I wrote again and am waiting for their response on how to fix this. If they can’t help me (which seems to be the case a lot lately), is there anything I can do to fix these error myself? It’s extremely frustrating. Their response was:

“I have checked the details of your shared screenshot and seems like those errors are not related to the orders. Those errors are self-created by Dokan Pro because the codebase might have faced issues to validate the vendor subscription packs’ expiry date. If you can navigate to the mentioned file path and line number from the codebase then you will be more clear about that. It should not be blocking Google Analytics to get the data from the site.”

This does not tell me how to fix it/stop the fatal errors.

Any help that can fix these errors would be greatly appreciated.

    Chris

    Hey @pleazo,

I am unable to help you with the Dokan Pro Extension and the error details you shared above aren’t really indicative of what the issue would be.

I’m afraid you would have to wait until they fix the issue for you or until you find a replacement for Dokan Pro.

    Hi @simplysaru

Still waiting on that dokan fix but I just got an order a few hours ago (which shows in woocommerce->orders but not in GA (not sure how long it takes for it to show in GA). I looked in the fatal error logs and saw the following video.

As you can see, there’s a lot of fatal errors coming from /plugins/mailchimp-for-woocommerce/includes/processes/class-mailchimp-woocommerce-cart-update.php:233

I do have an option to sign up for the newsletter in the cart. Could this maybe be a reason?

I also had a look at the Dokan log as saw this.
2022-01-20T11:43:28+00:00 DEBUG New Order #28842 created. Init sub order.
2022-01-20T11:43:28+00:00 DEBUG 1 vendor only, skipping sub order.
-why does it say debug? Do you think there is an issue here?

    Best,
    Chris

The general guideline would be to fix all underlying issues causing Fatal Errors. Fatal errors aren’t good for the store. In your case, definitely, please disable the Mailchimp plugin, remove the newsletter signup for a few weeks and monitor the Google analytics tracking. It’s possible that this could be the culprit.

Please do review other fatal errors and ensure all of them are addressed.
